Ecommerce giant Amazon and Flipkart are going to meet our central IT and communications minister Ravi Shankar Prasad regarding delivering their eCommerce products through Indian postal deportment's India post, Amazon India vice president and country manager Amit Agarwal and Monique Meche vice president of global puplic policy at Amazon are scheduled to meet Mr Prasad on Tuesday. Flipkart co-founder and CEO Sachin Bansal is also expected to meet the minister on Nov 13, agenda of the meeting is to discuss the way in which India Post can be utilized by growing eCommerce industry to deliver goods across India. This will be helpful full to improve the efficiency of postmen, and contemplating a way to incentivize them for timely delivery of goods. The postmen are expected to get some reward for timely delivery of goods although it's just an idea as of now, India Post has over 1.55 lakh post offices of which more than 1.39 lakh are in rural areas, according to market analysts, last-mile delivery of products ordered by online shoppers will figure as one the major deciding factors for eCommerce firms like Flipkart, snap deal and amazon and so on. Opportunity in logistics for online shopping industry estimated to be about Rs.3500-4000 crore, It's great and healthy news for all eCommerce development company in India, surely it builds more trust on e-commerce websites among common man in India.
